We are SO proud of you, Kaden!

The other day, Kaden came home and said, "Mom, my name is going to be in the newspaper." I was thinking..."okay?!?" Sure enough, I was reading Friday's paper yesterday (!) and sure enough, there it was! He is constantly impressing us with his reading and math skills. This morning he was telling me all about nouns and proper nouns! Too funny! He is definitely loving school and catching on. It is so fun to hear all the things he is learning.

Fire Station Visit

For fire safety week, Kaden's teacher told all the kids to try to go to the Fire Stations Open Houses to see the fire fighters, fire trucks, etc. Kaden bugged us enough that we finally went. Well, we were glad we did. The boys had a blast. Kaden did this last year for Kindergarten, but I don't think that mattered! Hudsen was a little intimidated of the big trucks at first, but then eventually got used to them! However, he was asked to stop saying "truck" by the firemen. Just joking!
(For those of you who don't know Hudsen very well...he can't say truck...use your imaginations)
In a big firetruck!

Trying to get him talked into climbing aboard!

Kaden isn't shy!

He thought he was pretty cool!

Pumpkins and Leaves!

Ahh...fall. How I love this season!

The boys picking out their pumpkins. We always go to Sekapp Orchard. It is close to our house and EASY! Maybe next year we will go back to Tweite's.
But, then again...3 kids next year, can we do it? :)

Kaden loves fall like his mommy!

Kaden being SO serious!
Pumpkin carving party! (yes, our 3-year-old has a knife!)

After our pumpkin carving, we went outside and raked leaves (we have A LOT of leaves!)
Izzie got some love.

Hudsen goes up the hill and runs down as fast as he can...

"CANNONBALL!"

"I love leaves"

Yes, I was a tad freaked out! He wasn't!

Hudsen (and ME!) being Knighted by the King.

Kaden got Knighted by the King. Both boys actually believed they were knights! TOO funny!

Flag Football '08

Yeah, I know...it's been a month to the day since I have last posted. So, I am making up for it today! My doctor told me on Friday to "take it easy this weekend and do lots of resting"!

OK! Sounds good (probably not to my husband though!) I am forced to sit down and not run around like a maniac trying to get things done this weekend! I actually kind of like it!

Kaden-future Hawkeye?!?!? :)

Uncle Zack got to come to one of Kaden's games in Sept.!

Kaden and his buddy, Jack (on opposite teams, but still friends!!)

Kaden has the ball! (For this shot, I was wishing I had Monica's camera!)

Kaden getting his football medal! He is SO proud of that medal!

We all had fun watching Kaden play football this fall! Next up...basketball?

HALLOWEEN! The boys had a blast! It was SO nice out, it reminded me what Halloween COULD be like if we lived somewhere warmer! Does anyone from MN/IA/Midwest remember a Halloween as nice as this one was? I sure don't! Jeremy and my plan was to each take them for one "loop" around our neighborhood. We would come home and then switch and do another different loop. Well, it turned out my loop took almost 2 hours! By the time we got home at 8, Hudsen looked like a drunk pirate! He had stripped his bandanna off, his belt buckled had come undone and he could barely walk! I brought his wagon, but I don't think he sat in it for more than 2 minutes! Oh well, they had a ton of fun! It was so fun to watch Kaden lift Hudsen up to ring the doorbells! He is such a patient brother (at times!).
