Spring in February!

Last weekend we were blessed with some unseasonable temps.  We all ventured outside on Saturday afternoon to do some backyard sledding.  Addie isn't a huge fan of the snow and cold.  This is how we usually spend our time outside with her (she takes her mittens off then cries and screams when her hands get cold!):

She had the most fun walking up the hill on the sidewalk and then running back down to me.  I can't wait for spring.  I think she will have a blast outside this year!

The boys kept busy making the "biggest snowman ever"! 

  

He quickly melted the next day!  Which they were all sad about but I was SO excited about!  We got rid of so much snow.  However...

We got it all back yesterday.  Ugh.  It seems as if Old Man Winter is playing a dirty trick on us.  27 days until spring...

My new bed!

It is a BAD phone picture, but I had to capture Huddy helping his dad.  I think he will take after his dad in building!  He wants to know how EVERYTHING works.  I love that about his 5-year-old brain!

Jeremy started on Sat. a.m. and worked on it most of the day.  Then, woke up on Sunday and started on it again.

Kids all ready for church!  I HAD to get out of the house Sunday morning while Jer worked away on the bed.

Grandma and Grandpa Horner were here for a visit the next weekend and honestly, we probably couldn't have finished the bed without their help.  With the kids and the bed!  

Adalyn has her grandpa (or pretty much everyone in her life!) wrapped around her little finger!  Here he is reading her "Tissy tissy" (Fancy Nancy).

Champion Basketball 2011

It's Champion basketball season again. We were in awe by Kaden's improvement this year!  He truly loves this game and it shows!

 This is his first year of actually playing the game on a wood court and not CARPET!

Kaden was lucky to have a cheering section during his first game.  G & G B. were here for the weekend before they drive to Texas next week.  I left Addie at home with a sitter, that's why I was able to actually get some pics of his game!  :)

2011...changes!

Miss Addie has decided to climb out of her crib.  And she isn't napping very long anymore.  Heaven help me...

 

 Kaden got his first F in school...on his vision test!  So, off he went to the eye doctor! The doctor's prescription?  Glasses!  He was very excited and couldn't wait to wear them to school.  I'm happy to report he hasn't lost them or broken them...yet. 

The dreaded Kindergarten letter.  I remember being really excited to see these come for Kaden, but I am not as excited to see them for Hudsen.  My kids are growing up too fast, I wish I could put the breaks on a little.

We got to grandma's & started eating some yummy stuff right away! 

After church, we headed to Christmas Eve at G & G Blum's.  The boys had never seen The Christmas Story, so we all watched that together.  They really liked Ralphie!

The next morning we woke up at Grandma Blum's and had Christmas with there.  Kaden got a really cool hunting vest from Grandpa.  He was so excited!  

And Hudsen got a Red Ryder BB Gun! Grandpa really wants these boys to be hunters someday!

Onto G & G Horner's house for more Christmas!  

The boys got out some of their dad's old monster trucks that Grandma still had.  They all (including my husband!) had a blast playing with them!

Then, two weeks later, we had ANOTHER Christmas with the Horner cousins.  We stayed at their house up in the cities all weekend and had a blast!

I love Christmas, but by January 3rd, I'm really ready to take it all down!  The kids usually have a hard time seeing the trees go down, but for some reason, they were o.k. with it this year.  They must have been feeling the Christmas overload, too!

Now onto my least favorite month of the year...January.

Christmas Past

2001: Kaden's first Christmas! 

2002: Not the best Christmas.  My Grandma H. passed away in Oct. and then Grandpa B. passed in November.  Oh, and to top it all off, we all got a horrible stomach flu at Christmas.  Even my poor little old grandma who had just lost her husband of over 50 years got it.  I could not locate pictures of that year's Christmas!

2003: Kaden was two and Izzie was just a pup!  Aren't they cute?



2004: Kaden was three, Izzie a year old and still acted very much like a young puppy!  Oh, and I was finally pregnant with #2! 

Hudsen's first Christmas.  Kaden was four.  We were living in CT at the time.  This was the year of no sleep. Oh and Kaden was obsessed with Clifford the big red dog. 

2006: Back in Rochester!  Hudsen was 1 1/2 and Kaden was five.

Hudsen was 3 in this picture.  I love this one so much.  I caught him just sitting on the steps in the morning when he woke up admiring the tree with his little stuffed animals. 

2009: Addie's first Christmas!

Hudsen is missing because he was freaked out by Santa.  I love the way Adalyn is looking at the big guy!
